Melody is a head teacher at I Got Soul. Working together with her parents, the principals of Soul, she brings diversity and excellence to the Soul package. Her teaching adds a real spark to the classes and offers the students real personality and charm. Melody is one of the choreographers of SYDC junior and senior. She brings cutting edge routines to this established company, elevating it to higher levels. 

 

Melody has been training at Soul ever since she could walk, her passion and work ethic for the community her parents have started is noticeable through all elements of her success. At such a young age Melody has already trained in London, LA, New York and Greece. She is technically trained in all disciplines from hip-hop to ballet however her speciality lies within her commercial and breaking. Her wealth of dance knowledge is exceptional. 

  

Having had 1-on-1 training from a young age with respected B-Boy ‘Reckless Lee’, another huge member of the I GOT SOUL family, she was a top 8 qualifier at Red Bull BC One UK 2021 & 2022 and also had a top 4 finish at the Breaking GB trials. Currently training to compete for Great Britain at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Melody has been scoring her points all over Europe. She has taught and choreographed at ArtsEd and was associate choreographer for The Wanted for Strictly: The Full Monty and Tom’s Stand Up 2 Cancer concert held at the Royal Albert Hall. She has also choreographed for BGT, B*Witched, Cats the musical Cyprus, SYDC and she currently holds her own class at Pineapple Dance Studios. Melody has professionally danced on The Voice Kids UK, Pringles advert, The X Factor, Strictly Does The Full Monty, Ed Sheeran Brit Awards O2, music videos, Wicked: The Movie and has also been involved in live performances in Paris, London, Cyprus and many more. She was an assistant chorographer at Warner Bros Abu Dhabi and has now been chosen as the face of Move It 2024.

  

Melody has achieved all of this whilst still being such a prominent member of the Soul family. She has brought together everything from her professional experiences to use at Soul to help create the most fun, upbeat and diverse classes.
